Our Duties: Design, Supply and Build (Yomog). Supply and manage grade A scaffolders, competent persons, foremen, riggers, and supervisors for special custom-made hanging scaffold (WSS)

The main contract was for the over sea bridge connecting Hong Kong to Macau and Zhuhai. We were the primary scaffolding contractor for this project. We carried out two packages for this job. One was to design, supply and build access towers around the piers providing access to government officials in carrying out rebound hammer and coring test to assess the density of the concrete piers. Another was to supply grade A especially trained scaffolders for erection of pier head suspended access reaching up to 45 meters above pile cap.

This was a rewarding but challenging project for us. The challenges arise from the fact that there has to be precise coordination between the logistics of barges, trucks, worker production and on site workers' welfare. This is because of lack of storage space on pile caps out in the sea. Challenges also arose for production rate due to transportation of workers from pier to pier throughout the day. This was a unique project using a unique system not common in Hong Kong. The project used primarily the NSS system. Even the previously experienced scaffolders had to be retrained to be acquainted with NSS systems for considerable duration before being deployed on site. We trained and maintained these specially trained scaffolders for the length of the project. Despite the challenges we completed our project on time and in full satisfaction of our client.
